Al Mana Group, one of the largest and most important in the United Arab Emirates, is active in various sectors such as construction, technology, automotive, real estate, hospitality, tourism and more.
The building was designed by a London design firm and features futuristic lines with distinctive elements of Arab culture.
The specification of the stones for the project was made by our company and included mainly materials from northern Greece. That process promoted and advertised the Greek marbles in buildings of great public interest from all over the world.
The use of dolomitic white materials with unique veins of futuristic shapes, applied to large straight and curved surfaces, made the process of designing and selection of the raw material challenging.
The designer wanted to present that each facade inside the building would be a unique painting, that would extend all the way to the domed glass roof of the building, so that the marble artwork would be visible from all levels inside the building.
On the facades of the central lobby, alternating straight and circular surfaces of Artic Sky marble, that despite their intense veins and anarchic movement, achieved the continuous movement of the material’s characteristic veins, for a surface area of over 2000 m².
Given the limited time available, over 5500 m² of stone surfaces had to be produced, resulting in a whole factory, equipped with all the processing machinery, being entirely occupied to this project for at least 8 months.
