Founded in 1967, Lacomar S.A. specializes in quarrying, manufacturing and sourcing the finest marbles and natural stones from all corners of the world. For three generations, the company has established a long tradition in exporting Greek white and colored marbles from self-owned quarries while also featuring a great selection of granites, travertine, limestones, onyx and semiprecious stones. The many years of experience, know-how and expertise have turned Lacomar into a leading player in the Greek marble and stone market as well as the international marble industries.
With marble being imprinted in our DNA since classical times, we continue to evolve with respect to our roots. We consider marble to be much more than a metamorphic rock or an old-fashioned material found in aged buildings. We look at marble and we see a premium, precious stone that can be used for construction as well as decorative purposes to adorn a space with its elegant, prestigious appearance and luxurious effect.
By bridging together our state-of-the-art production units, facilities and factories with the highly skilled team of experts and carefully sourced materials of the highest standards, we have managed to transform our business into a global empire always at the forefront of the latest technologies and ideas.
Our projects in Greece and abroad are a testament to our lifelong dedication and expertise. Over the years, we have expanded our presence in key international markets, establishing facilities in Egypt, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
In Qatar, we entered the market in 2012 with Plazado Ventures LTD LLC & Extra Solution in Doha, participating in some of the country’s most prestigious projects.
In Egypt, our presence has grown since 2016 through Pearl Stone/MMG, equipped with high-tech machinery and operating our Fantastic White granite quarry.
Our latest and highly successful venture, Extra Solutions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, boasts a 20,000m² stock of marble slabs and an exclusive showroom.
Through these entities, we provide top-quality materials and products, sourcing from world-class suppliers and offering exclusive natural stones. Our expertise lies in transforming marble, granite, and other natural stones into high-end products, meeting the highest industry standards and tailored to the most demanding client specifications.
Our network of marble quarries and associates stretches across all parts of the world and continues to expand every year. From our self-owned quarries in Greece to our very old vendors in Spain, Italy, Portugal and China to all corners of the world. In 2012 we also began operating a company with very successful action in the Gulf area specializing in very high-end private and public projects. Carrying on with our business, in 2016 we made our first investment in Africa, successfully running a company, together with a quarry of white granite.
